The education department at Columbia College has a two-fold mission. We prepare students for the teaching profession and better equip current teachers through a variety of certificate and master's-level programs.

 
 
 

Programs and experiences we offer

The Columbia College education department prepares students for Missouri teaching certification. We also work with graduate-level students to prepare them for leadership roles in schools and districts.

MO Teaching License

Columbia College offers various routes you can choose to secure an initial teaching certificate as well as other certificates for the state of Missouri

M.A.T and M.Ed.

These master degrees help current teachers hone their classroom skills and prepare students for administrative roles.

Minors

Gain an edge in the workforce by taking a few more classes to add a minor to your degree.

Students seeking certification recommendations to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) must have or complete the following as part of Columbia College's certification program.
